Smoke Gets In Your Eyes

www.toothandclawonline.com  ~ Original works and re-discovered treasure for your home

I have recently been souring a lot of Smoked Glass for our stock at Tooth & Claw – its dark and sultry looks can turn the most humble of objects into a smouldering sensation.

One of our latest acquisitions is this beautiful 1970’s Smoked Glass Dressing Screen.
An impressive statement piece, this 4-fold screen packs a glamorous punch.  We think this would look amazing in a 70’s Glam-styled room with maybe a Willy Rizzo coffee table – or juxtaposed with more feminine furniture to give a vintage-style room a bit of an edge.

If wine is your thing, another recent stock addition is this super-cool set of 1960’s wine glasses. Designed in 1967 by Frank Thrower and Produced in 1968 by Dartington Glass, their smoky looks will set your drinks tray alight!
£25 for the set of 4.

For decanting your spirits – this amazing 1930’s American Art Deco decanter is just perfect. Made from smoky-grey-topaz coloured glass, which really highlights its “Metropolis” inspired Odeon shape.
£89 for the decanter & 2 shot glasses

Our gorgeous set of French 1970’s Smoked Glasses makes a great gift. Perfect for aperitifs or sherry. Yes, sherry! Sherry has shed its ‘old lady’ connotations and is now super-fashionable.

For a little indulgence, treat yourself to a sherry nightcap at one of Tooth & Claw’s favourite places, Claridges’ Fumoir bar – itself a perfect example of dark, smoky glamour.
